Of the 12 million tons of furniture produced in 2018, only 0.33% was recycled. 9 million tons of furniture was sent to landfills. Fast furniture has become disposable that people constantly trash when relocating.
Problem.
We want to build our furniture based on set values. We believe that furniture should be Adaptive, Easy to Move, Durable, Intuitive, Timeless, and Sustainable.
Brand Values.
We work as a team on brainstorming, ideation, and prototype-making. The goal is to build a fluid furniture system that actually works well and looks beautiful.
Design Process.
The Kept furniture kits will be delivered directly to the user’s door with basic instructions on the boxes. The kit will contain components that can build a desk, a shelf, or anything you want.
Packaging.
The user can start off their journey with a basic desk and shelf, and build up other furniture into the system. You can always disassemble and build them into new furniture that best fits your current environment.
Settle in, Grow & Adapt.
When it’s time to relocate, dissemble the Kept furniture just as easily as building them. The components are convenient to move compared to the entire furniture.
Moving.
We want to continue building on this versatile system and make them more adaptive to each user while giving each piece more personality.
